My name is Lily Lin and I am a nationally certified (NCCAOM), Washington state licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist. Over a decade ago I was a chemical engineer with an analytical mind contributing to a field that I soon realized I had no passion in. This led to a two month sabbatical through India to study yoga with my 88 year old guru. I began taking lessons in Ayurvedic medicine and was introduced to concepts such as food as medicine and constitutional differences which may predispose certain people to different ailments. This struck a chord with me as I had never approached health in these terms or thought much about the people’s differences even though I experienced poor digestion my whole life.
Upon returning to the states, I was then introduced to acupuncture as a successful treatment for my migraines. I found that much of what I had learned on my sabbatical was mirrored in this old 4,000+ year old, tried and true system. I had finally found a system in which my analytical mind could best thrive.
I studied Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at Bastyr University and interned at Harborview Medical Center, Neighborcare Health Centers, and Immune Wellness Clinic at Bastyr Center for Natural Health. I have also traveled to China and Taiwan to witness true integrated medicine in the hospital systems in Asia.
I have recently returned from two years abroad in Thailand and am excited to be joining the team at Zen Attitude and SageMED. I specialize in women’s health, digestive health, stress and pain management. My treatments may include a blend of acupuncture, cupping, health education and Traditional Chinese herbs.
