Dr. Elizabeth Dart
Growing up in Southern California I had access to fresh local vegetables from an early age. I’m also fortunate enough to have grown up in the generation that still went outside to play until it was dark. I guess you can say it was inevitable to become some type of health nerd.
After I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology I worked, I moved, and I learned. I honed in on my skills and I have trained with some of the most brilliant minds in the world. After college I studied Ayurvedic and botanical medicine and worked at an exclusive five-star resort in Santa Barbara catering to elite athletes and other clientele. Because of my passion for functional medicine, I choose to study East Asian medicine at Bastyr University. I have a Masters of Science degree from Bastyr in Acupuncture and Chinese herbs. I am a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist and massage therapist. In my practice, I like to entwine both Classical Chinese medicine with evidence based research. My specialties include pain management, orthopedic acupuncture, fertility, insomnia, and digestive issues. I enjoy cycling, running, kayaking and volunteering at local charities.
After 20 years in higher education, I completed my holistic studies with the terminal degree of doctorate in acupuncture and oriental medicine (DAOM). I have spent the last few years focused on acupuncture and how it works in regards to pain and neurophysiology.
I believe health care should involve just that, care. I think it is imperative as a provider to listen to your concerns and work together towards your goals in and out of the office. I look forward to working with you.
