Jené Ferrante, ND, is a skilled naturopathic doctor and owner of Hawaii Natural Medicine in Honolulu, Hawaii. She proudly welcomes new and returning patients.
Dr. Ferrante dreamed of becoming a doctor from the age of 3. She began her career in medicine by becoming a licensed massage therapist at 18, which allowed her to learn about alternative ways of healing. She focused on nutrition during her undergraduate years at the University of Texas in Austin, before graduating from Bastyr University with her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. She completed her residency at SageMED in Bellevue, Washington, where her focus was hormone optimization and regenerative medicine.
Dr. Ferrante is a dedicated practitioner in the field of regenerative medicine, specializing in non-surgical treatments, men's health, and hormone optimization to address chronic pain and overall health. Her focus on educating patients about their treatment options and involving them in decision-making reflects a patient-centered approach to care. By prioritizing the identification and treatment of underlying causes of pain, she’s committed to challenging traditional pain management methods. Dr. Ferrante’s emphasis on hormone therapy highlights her comprehensive approach to optimizing patients’ well-being and longevity.
Her regenerative medicine practice offers patients innovative alternatives to traditional medical treatments, particularly alleviating musculoskeletal and nerve pain. Additionally, her expertise in hormone therapy underscores her commitment to addressing health concerns at their root causes, promoting holistic healing and optimal health for her patients.

My name is Phi-Lan Nguyen and I am a co-owner and the founder of Zen Attitude. I am practicing in Honolulu, HI. From a very young age, I got to experience the effectiveness of acupuncture through family members and how relaxed and happy they would come away from treatments. At 16, my mother suffered her 3rd and most severe stroke. At this age, I learned very quickly the role of caregiver and also the frustrations of not having enough resources for my mother’s recovery. Within about a year, both Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy had decided that her process had plateaued. She could barely walk, prepare her own food, and would tear up when she couldn’t find the words she was looking for. Our family was told that most stroke survivors make very little recovery after 2 years. This of course did not take into account other modalities such as acupuncture.
It is amazing how even after over 2 decades post stroke, my mother has recovered to the degree that she has today. She is walking, can take care of her basic needs such as showering and eating, can express herself verbally, and could even pick arguments with my father occasionally. I am grateful to Western medicine for saving my mother’s life, and am very grateful to Eastern Asian medicine for increasing her quality of life, as that is the best currency we have.
My focus and passion as an Acupuncturist is to effectively increase that currency called quality of life for patients. Whether I am giving you a tune up, helping you with any chronic or acute issue, working with your other practitioners towards better health, or am the very last option you would have ever considered, I am committed to help you achieve the results you need.
I received my dual Masters of Science degrees in Acupuncture and Oriental medicine from Bastyr University in 2010. I have a particular interest and specialize in neurological conditions such as nerve impingements and sensations, migraines, traumatic brain injury, stroke and Bell’s Palsy, and also any other neurological diseases such as Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s. I spent over 1350 clinical hours at Bastyr Center for Natural Health in Wallingford, Harborview Medical Center in the Chronic Fatigue Clinic, HIV/AIDs clinic, and International Clinic, and Providence Mt St Vincent’s Nursing Center. My last intensive externship was spent at three different hospitals in Shanghai.
I welcome any issue you may be experiencing, as my focus is to treat the person as a whole and not symptomatically. My treatments may include a blend of acupuncture, cupping, dietary advice, coaching, and health education.
All walks of life are absolutely welcome at our office, with no discrimination towards race, religion, sexual and/or gender orientation.
For existing Seattle and Bellevue patients, please call or text the Seattle (206-466-2933) office if you'd like a personal recommendation from Phi Lan for one of our team members!

My name is Sergio Andrade and I am a licensed massage therapist in Honolulu, Hawaii at Zen Attitude Acupuncture. Originally from Sacramento, California, I joined the US Air Force and was fortunate to have my last assignment here on Oahu where I’ve continued to be a guest for 10+ years. For me, living in Hawai'i has been an amazing experience that has offered so much personal healing and support from the aina and the warm and welcoming people who call it home.
After retirement, I took a break to reflect on what I really wanted for myself and how I could help others. This led me to study Tantra, yoga, meditation and some very deep inner work where I learned the impact that living in a fear state has on my own body, but the minds and bodies of others.
My vision became clear. To be in community and offer a space that is free of stress, judgment, or fear. One where you, the client, are allowed and encouraged to “let it go”, if only for one or two hours; hopefully more. My learning evolved into enrolling in a 850+ hour Holistic Health Practitioner program where I developed skills in many energetic and physical healing modalities that I can share with the general public to help them find their way to wholeness.
The first step being self-care.
When offering the gift of Touch through massage, I specialize in:
- relaxing Swedish massage (light to medium pressure)
- deep tissue (for specific areas)
- assisted stretching through Thai massage
- manual lymphatic drainage to help stimulate your immune system and detox cellular waste
Additionally, I offer Reiki and Healing Touch subtle energetic modalities which bring in the spiritual aspect of Holistic Health. Feel free to see a more detailed description of these through my website or we can schedule a 30-minute consultation to discuss more. My vision has since extended to help veterans through VA Community Care Network referrals for massage therapy and patients of the Pain and Palliative Care department of the Queen’s Health System as a volunteer Reiki and Healing Touch practitioner.
For me, incorporating these healing modalities into my routine, in addition to hiking in the mountains, open ocean swimming, and grounding walks have positively contributed to my overall wellbeing and I would love to share that with you. I am available for Massage at Zen Attitude on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
